About

Tricky tune consists of myself Mark Hewitt - Director

After being made redundant from Gizzmo Electronics I took a short break then launched Tricky tune in Jan 2006. I have been in the motor trade for 15 years now. When I was 18 I started an auto electrical apprenticeship in Dunedin where I lived for the first 29 years of my life and stayed there for 4.5 years. I then moved on to a tuning shop with a rolling road dyno where I tuned many road cars and made a rock solid base for my future tuning race cars. I stayed there for 4.5 years. Two years at a speed shop where we modified all sorts of cars before being imported from the south island by Gizzmo for a tuning job. I stayed there and tuned all sorts of street and race cars until they decided to shut the workshop and not long after move to Melbourne. Tricky tune has been steadily expanding and moving forward. We also aim to help out those involved in motorsport by being available to go to other countries for tuning etc. I have been to Australia and Los Angeles to help out my drift customers and in the near future hope to add other places to the list.
